First: disconnecting is not deletion

Disconnecting a platform in Settings — or removing dally from your Instagram settings — is a pause, not a deletion. It stops syncing and clears your stored access tokens, but keeps the data you already synced (your content, messages, conversations, and audience) so you can reconnect later and pick up where you left off. If you actually want your data deleted, use one of the options below.

How to Delete Your Data

You can request deletion of your data from dally in the following ways:

1. Email us directly — Send a data deletion request (or a request to delete your dally account entirely) to support@dally.ai from the email address associated with your dally account.
2. Request deletion through Instagram — When you request that your data be deleted in your Instagram/Facebook app settings, Meta sends us a verified deletion request and we erase your Instagram-derived data. (Just removing dally without requesting deletion only pauses syncing — see above.)

What Gets Deleted

When you send a deletion request (or delete your dally account), we remove:

• Your Instagram connection and access token
• All synced content data (captions, metrics, thumbnails, transcripts)
• Your synced messages, conversations, and audience data
• Your creator profile
• Your AI content analysis data
• Any content shared in the dally discovery network

Anonymized, aggregate benchmark data that can no longer identify you may persist. If you only requested data deletion (not full account deletion), your dally account (Google Sign-In) is kept so you can start fresh.

Timeline

Data deletion requests are processed within 30 days, and in most cases your data will be removed within 48 hours. Data obtained through the YouTube API Services is deleted within 7 days of your request, per the YouTube API Services Developer Policies. You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.

Deletion Confirmation

If you were redirected here from Instagram with a confirmation code, your data deletion request has been received and is being processed. No further action is needed.
