To delete your Dally account, open Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm. You receive a link to check the request’s status.
To delete what one connection brought, choose Disconnect and delete data on that account in Dally. If you cannot access your account, or would rather ask, email support@dally.ai from the email associated with your Dally account. For a connection, Dally deletes everything it kept from it; connect it again later and Dally reads it fresh. Do not send passwords or access tokens. You can also request deletion through Instagram's or Facebook's settings; Meta sends Dally a verified request and a confirmation code for checking its status here. Dally then deletes what that Instagram account, or the Facebook Pages that Facebook account connected, brought into every Dally account that connected it, and nothing else of theirs; its public posts stay public. When no Dally account connected that Instagram account, Dally handles Meta's request as a removal request.
To have Dally erase an Instagram account's content and never collect it again, email legal@dally.ai with the profile link. You do not need a Dally account, and this works for creators who never used Dally. Copyright and Content Removal explains how removal works.
We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. We acknowledge and handle requests within the time required by applicable law and platform rules, including any shorter applicable deadlines. We let you know the outcome and explain any permitted exception.
Disconnecting stops future syncing through that connection. It does not necessarily delete everything already collected. We retain previously collected information only where permitted and delete information when revocation or platform rules require it.
Deleting your Dally account deletes the information associated with it, including what your connection brought into Dally, and disconnects it. It does not stop Dally collecting your public posts. To stop that, send a removal request to legal@dally.ai: removal erases what Dally holds of the account and adds it to the do-not-collect list.
A public-content removal request alone does not close your Dally account.
We remove the relevant information from active systems, including account records, applicable message and audience data, cached media, associated transcripts and other derived artifacts, search representations, account-linked request and response records, and the messages Dally kept, until October 2026, of what led your assistant to call it. We arrange corresponding deletion with applicable service providers.
You do not need a request to delete the messages Dally kept, until October 2026, of what led your assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to call it: open Settings → What you asked Dally and delete any of them, or all of them at once. Dally no longer asks an assistant for your message.
When an Instagram account is removed, by a removal request or by a request through Instagram's settings for an account no Dally account connected, we erase what Dally holds of it, including copies other Dally users kept, and add the account to our do-not-collect list. Every way Dally collects public content checks that list, so the account is not collected again, even under a new handle. The list keeps only one-way hashed identifiers, not copies of the removed content. Deleting a Dally account never adds its Instagram accounts to that list.
Dally cannot delete the original post from its source platform or erase an independent copy someone already received. Apps or assistants that received information at your direction have their own deletion processes. This does not limit our obligations to notify recipients or arrange deletion where applicable law requires it.

Retained exceptions are not used to restore removed content to ordinary search or analysis. Backup copies are restricted from ordinary use; deletion instructions are reapplied if a backup is restored.
