Email support@dally.ai from the email associated with your Dally account, or use the account-deletion option where available. Tell us whether you want to delete your Dally account, information from a particular connection, or specific content. Include the relevant profile or post links when possible. Do not send passwords or access tokens. You can also request deletion through Instagram or Facebook settings; Meta sends Dally a verified request and a confirmation code for checking its status here.
You do not need a Dally account to request removal of information about you. Public creators can also use the process on Copyright and Content Removal.
We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. We acknowledge and handle requests within the time required by applicable law and platform rules, including any shorter applicable deadlines. We let you know the outcome and explain any permitted exception.
Disconnecting stops future syncing through that connection. It does not necessarily delete everything already collected. We retain previously collected information only where permitted and delete information when revocation or platform rules require it.
Deleting your Dally account requests deletion of the information associated with it, including connected-account information and related content. It also requests removal of the public content associated with platform accounts we verify you control. We do not exclude that content from your request merely because another copy came from a public source.
A public-content removal request alone does not close your Dally account. Neither disconnecting nor a public-content removal request cancels a paid subscription; use the cancellation method provided with your subscription. Deleting your Dally account stops future subscription renewals.
We remove the relevant information from active systems, including account records, applicable message and audience data, cached media, associated transcripts and other derived artifacts, search representations, and account-linked request and response records. We arrange corresponding deletion with applicable service providers.
Where you request removal of a public profile, we remove its content from Dally's public discovery and add the profile to our suppression records so collection does not simply begin again. Suppression records contain the limited identifiers needed to honor the request, not copies of the removed content.
Dally cannot delete the original post from its source platform or erase an independent copy someone already received. Apps or assistants that received information at your direction have their own deletion processes. This does not limit our obligations to notify recipients or arrange deletion where applicable law requires it.
| Category | Retention rule |
|---|---|
| Account and synced information | Kept while needed for the account and enabled features, subject to deletion requests, permission changes, and applicable platform limits. |
| Publicly indexed content | Kept while included in Dally's index, subject to source availability, removal requests, and applicable rights and platform restrictions. |
| Content-bearing API/MCP logs and session recordings | Full API/MCP requests, responses, and task notes are kept for the life of the account and deleted with it, or earlier on a verified request. Account-linked product analytics are included in account deletion. Session recordings expire after 30 days. Operational records that do not contain request or response bodies are kept for troubleshooting and security, subject to applicable deletion obligations. |
| Backups | Our database hosting provider maintains daily backups and documents a seven-day recovery window for our plan. This describes restore availability, not a deadline for erasing each deleted record from backup storage. Deletion from the active database does not immediately alter existing backups. Database backups do not contain the stored media files themselves. |
| Limited legal, security, billing, and dispute records | Kept only for the relevant legal requirement or documented need, then deleted. |
| Removal-suppression records | Permanent one-way hashed identifiers prevent recollection after erasure. These records contain no copies of the removed content. |
Retained exceptions are not used to restore removed content to ordinary search or analysis. Backup copies are restricted from ordinary use; deletion instructions are reapplied if a backup is restored.
